:::- Repairing Bad roads in Mahavilachchiya -:::

The many of people in Mahavilachchiya village was hoping from a long time to realize their most important item. Now all the villagers are very happy that this time they are seeing that their hope is realizing. We hope that this time we can realize it and we don’t think we will get tears again to our eyes about this problem.

The Main Road which is going to Mahavilachchiya from Anuradhapura is divided to two roads after few Kilometers from Pemaduva. This junction is called Track 4 junction. One road is going to Mannar Junction and other is to Bogas Junction. And many of you know that Horizon Lanka Foundation is also situated in Bogas Junction area. All the Horizon students are going by bicycles trough this road. The road which is from Track 4 junction to Bogas Junciton was jerry built. It has made from gneiss in about 1980 but after few years the gneiss has got under from solid. And the government repaired so many times because of the request of villagers, but it was like a plaster to a sore. After a one rain the road become the old road. And the all the people who are going trough this road becomes brown color because of the dust in summer. And in the rainy season the whole road is consisting from little tanks which filled from muddy water. When the people going by foot and bicycles through this road in rainy season are become brown once the buses and other vehicles going trough it. The many times we have seen the Horizon Lanka students and the Public school students are going back after facing to this problem.

However after a long time we could see in last month that the road is repairing again. But we didn’t happy about that because we have seen it many times and they were not a good repairing. Actually we also can’t imagine that this time it is repairing for long time. Government has disbursed many resources to finish it soon and we can see that the road is mush powerful with new repairing. The most of works have done and we hope they will finish it soon. I think that the villagers don’t want again to face problems because of it. Now we can go Horizon Lanka, public school without any barriers. And the villagers can do their works quickly. This is a great item that we can say our village is developing. We like to thank government for this work and we appreciate it. And also we hope that this will be not a plaster again for the road.
